Prepare for Your Baby's Arrival
Attending a childbirth education class can help prepare you for delivery and increase your comfort level in caring for your newborn.
Henderson Hospital offers three childbirth education classes and several support groups:
This two-week class from Henderson Hospital is taught in three-hour sessions and is tailored for first-time parents. Topics include labor and delivery, pain management, basic breathing and relaxation techniques, unplanned Cesarean birth, postpartum and newborn care.
Get a great start on breastfeeding your baby with the information you'll learn in this two-hour class. We'll discuss tips and techniques for breastfeeding and you'll have the opportunity to ask questions.
Both new moms and experienced moms are welcome to attend. Moms can come alone, but we encourage partners to come along because breastfeeding moms who have knowledgeable support at home have the most success.
