Henderson Hospital Celebrates 2021 With Patient Tower Completion, Variety of Awards

Capping off a busy 2021, the team at Henderson Hospital opened four new patient floors in its new tower, expanded its emergency department capacity by 25 beds, opened a 480-space parking garage, and earned multiple national patient safety awards and specialized certifications. These were for stroke care, heart attack and emergency-department geriatric care at Henderson Hospital and the ER at Green Valley Ranch.

2021 Construction by the Numbers

  • 297 licensed-bed capacity (increased from 239 in August 2021)
  • 52-bed emergency department (increased by 27, not included in licensed-bed count)
  • 30 private suites within the neonatal intensive care unit, including larger rooms for twins and triplets (increased by 18 beds)
  • 4 antepartum rooms for expectant mothers who need pre-birth medical care
  • 480-space parking garage
  • $150 million project cost
